Diving Trips Koh Lanta
Lanta Diver operates Daily Diving Trips Koh Lanta and is open all year around. Being located on Koh Lanta means we are fortunate enough to have easy access to some of Thailands premium snorkeling and diving locations.
We will do our best to ensure your diving experience is personal. That is why we always dive in small groups. Each Divemaster or Instructor will have a maximum of four divers in the group. Furthermore, our primary aim is to match divers in groups with equal experience levels. That will ensure your whole diving experience with Lanta Divers Diving Trips Thailand is first class.
Our boat trips welcome both divers and snorkelers
Lanta Diver also welcomes snorkelers to join one of our Dive boats to Koh Haa, Koh Bida and Koh Rok! To make sure you get the most out of your day we always provide a Divemaster as a snorkel guide to assist and show the exciting things to see.
To ensure that we deliver the best Diving Trips Thailand, we carefully hand-pick our team of friendly and professional PADI Instructors and Divemasters. Our dedicated team speaks various languages, including Swedish, English, German, French and Thai.
The Lanta Diver boat trip
Boat departure from Lanta Diver pier in Saladan
All year round our boats departs from our own pier in Saladan.
The boats from Saladan, Koh Lanta usually leave at 8 am in the morning and the big boats are back at around 5 pm (if 2 dives around 4 pm).
Our speedboat is usually back from around 2 pm to 3 pm depending on how many dives and which dive site.
Boat departure from Diving at Pimalai jetty
During High season we run dedicated speedboat trips from the Pimalai Jetty (weather permitting) that depart and return to Pimalai. Pimalai Resort & Spa is located in the south of Koh Lanta in the Kantiang area. We have a small diving center, Lanta Diver at Pimalai, within the hotel area.
The speedboat would depart from Pimalai at 9 am and would be a 2 dive trip with a return time of between 1 pm to 2 pm depending on the site. These trips will be dependent on customer numbers for a particular site on a certain date so trips will be confirmed closer to the time.
Pick-up from your accommodation
Once you have confirmed your reservation for Diving Trips Koh Lanta, relax and let our Lanta Diver team take care of the rest. We will pick you up in the morning (from the west coast) and bring you to the dive center where you will meet your PADI professional who will take care of you for the rest of the day.
The only necessary items you need to bring are your own equipment, swimming clothes, a towel and if you need, Reef Safe Sunscreen which of course is available to buy in the Lanta Diver shop.
Breakfast & briefing
Once aboard the boat, the first thing we will do is to provide you with a proper breakfast! You will enjoy freshly cooked bacon, chicken, egg, cheese, salad, bread, toast and jam. You also have unlimited access to coffee, tea, soft drinks, electrolyte and water during your diving or snorkeling day with Lanta Diver.
During the relaxing journey to the dive site, your Divemaster or Instructor will individually brief your group about your diving or snorkeling activities, answer (almost) any questions you might have and supervise your equipment set-up.
The diving trips Koh Lanta
When going on a Diving Trip with Lanta Diver you have signed up for making 2 dives. Maximum diving time is 60 minutes or when you reached 50 bar of air left in your tank.
On most Diving trips to Koh Ha or Koh Bida we offer an optional third dive. The third dive is a maximum of 45 minutes or 50 bar. You can decide after the 2nd dive if you would like to go again.
How to see the Whale Shark
For some reason, the Whale sharks tend to appear on the third dive. So when going on Diving Trips Thailand we recommend you go for the third dive!
For those who find two dives are enough, don’t worry, snorkeling or even a little sleep on the sun deck is available as an alternative to the third dive.
Snorkeling trips with Lanta Diver
As a snorkeler on Lanta Diver boats, we think safety is equally important as when diving. That means that we always have a snorkel briefing. We always have a dedicated snorkel guide who will assist you in the water and point out interesting things.
In the water, the snorkel guide will show you the best the underwater world has to offer, and of course, try to find the Whale shark!! There will be a maximum of between 7-8 snorkelers to each Snorkel guide and we try to match snorkelers with a similar level of experience if possible.
We have life jackets even for small children and a buoyancy aid where you can rest if you get tired.
Delicious lunch onboard Lanta Diver Boats
Being at sea and in the water on Diving Trips Thailand can make you a bit hungry. Therefore in between your dives, you will of course eat!
You will be served a delicious Thai lunch. Three different options on the big boats and two different options on the speedboat (at least one vegetarian). There will also be fresh fruit and you are welcome to help yourself to unlimited soft drinks, tea/coffee and water throughout the day.
Going back from Diving Trips Koh Lanta
On the way back to Koh Lanta your Divemaster/Instructor will give a full debriefing of your dives and snorkeling, including fish identification and logbook completion. If we had a photographer on board your trip then you can view the shots of yourself underwater, and have the option to purchase them as a souvenir of your day.
Once back on land you have time to browse our retail store and chat with our shop staff about future diving trips Koh Lanta. Then our driver will take you back to your resort.
