Clean up at Koh Haa and Koh Rok
The National Marine parks are closed during low season (May 15 — October 15) so the reef can rest and recover. October 13-14 Lanta Diver, several other Dive centers and the Marine park went for the yearly clean up at Koh Haa and Koh Rok. This is a really good initiative and much needed! Koh Rok And Koh Haa!
I went to Koh Haa October 16 and the reef looked amazing and the visibility was around 25m. A beautiful day for sure! Also I went to Koh Rok for some diving for the first time a few weeks ago. Lanta Diver have decided to start running Dive- and snorkeling trips to Koh Rok again, so we went there for some exploring of the Dive sites and I must say it was really good! Good visibility, Moray eel, lots of Blue powdered surgeon fish, schools of snapper and Turtle! We had a Great start of the season with Whale shark at Koh Haa (three times in one week!) and Manta Rays at Hin Daeng!
Try Dive with Swedish school
Two weeks ago we invited the kids and their parents from The Swedish Schools to do a Try Dive in the pool at Southern Lanta resort. Some tried for the first time and some had been diving before, but a long time ago. Well done everyone!
I am really much looking forward to this second season with Lanta Diver! Want to read more about diving click here.
